Intimate Health Statistics
More Common Than Most Think.
Intimate infections have little to do with uncleanliness or individual behaviour, and more often with hormonal changes, immune system status, or medication.

Women experience at least one urinary tract infection (UTI) in their lives. It is one of the most common infections in women, making up up to 20% of all infections women experience.

Growing up I felt like I was well educated on intimate and sexual health. But the older I got the more I understood how little I and actually most women understand about their own body.
Despite the German health care system being one of the best ones worldwide, my experiences often felt limited to symptomatic treatments rather than holistic care, whether dealing with hormonal contraception side effects, painful menstruation, or intimate infections.
It's not about blaming the doctors—I recognize the constraints of time and resources they face. This is where livity steps in: to empower women with better self-care tools.

As a teenager, I struggled with the changes in my body, feeling both nervous and embarrassed. It took me years to realise that despite our differences, women share similar experiences. I was benefiting from Germany's excellent healthcare system, and yet I felt female-specific issues were often neglected & tabooed.
My background in AI fueled my curiosity further, prompting me to question why there wasn't more data available on women's health and why decision-making processes weren't more data-driven.
That's why I co-founded livity, where we leverage data and technology to empower women with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their well-being.
